How does Bi-Co Mutual Aid Operate?
We are a group of seven students that meet weekly on Haverford and Bryn Mawr's campuses.
We solicit contributions from community-members through our Venmo account.
We use our Instagram to post and keep followers updated on the amount of money that we have, what we are fundraising for, how much money we have in our general fund.
Community members can request funds through our "Aid Request Form". In this form, we ask students for information on their identity, their email, and whatever details they are able and comfortable to share about what they need.
We make decisions on where to send funds at our weekly meetings and send out weekly emails to continue transparency on the amount of funds that are had and were able to distribute.
We operate using Slack for logistics, Venmo and bank account for distributing money, and our email for communication.
We distribute tasks among members of BCMA and sign up for different tasks each week.
